Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School is gearing up for its prom tonight, with activities happening until early tomorrow morning.
According to ADM Prom Committee Member Noelle McDonald, the Grand March starts at 4:30pm at the high school, then the students will eat at a restaurant of their choice at 6pm. Following dinner, students will head to the Decade Events Center in Des Moines for the dance from 8-10:30pm before returning to the high school for After-Prom activities from 11:30pm-4:30am. ADM Senior Kaylee Smith is excited to spend time with friends before graduation.
“I’m super excited because it’s my senior prom, so I’m just super excited to be with my friends the whole night and the last event before all of us go our own ways next year.”
Junior Aniston Tollari is looking forward to making memories at After-Prom.
“It’s a really good experience to just have with your friends and bond over. You make a lot of good memories at After-Prom, so I’m really excited.”
Junior Calli Seehase announces the theme for ADM this year is “Under the Stars,” which will consist of the combination of golden stars with a navy blue background.
Committee member Mackenzie Evans tells Raccoon Valley Radio that some of the activities at After-Prom include a glow foam party, casino games, axe throwing, video games, music bingo, inflatables, a hypnotist, and breakfast from the Adel Fire Department to end the festivities from 4-5am.
