The Adair County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach reminds 4-H’ers of an upcoming deadline.

Youth Coordinator Caroline Savage mentions that they are readying for their annual Speak Out for Agriculture trip, which will stay in state this year. Registration ends on May 15th, but until then, students that have completed 8th to 12th grade, and are at least 13 years old may enroll for the trip. Savage mentions that the age limit is due to the stop that they will be making at John Deere Works in Ankeny. The trip also includes tours at Hawkeye Breeders in Adel, Neal Smith Wildlife Refuge, the Iowa Corn Growers Association in Johnston and an overnight visit to Iowa State University, where those participating will be able to stay in dorms on campus.
