Anyone looking to start up their gardening season or who might want to add to their gardens can do so in Jefferson while also supporting a non-profit organization.

The Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County Annual Plant Sale is happening Thursday through Saturday, while supplies last. TJ Gardens Board President Danielle Ross says they have over 100 annual plants for purchase, including petunias, marigolds, moss roses impatiens, along with tomatoes, among others. She adds that there are a variety of colors to choose from.

Ross points out that having their own greenhouse to grow their plants means they can take very good care of them, which rivals anywhere else. She notes that last year there was a great turn out and she is hoping to sell out of plants this year. The proceeds from the plant sale go back to the ongoing maintenance and improvements to the gardens.

The plant sale is from 3-6pm tomorrow, 10am-6pm Friday, and on Saturday from 10am-2pm.
