A student from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School is the recipient of a $2,000 scholarship that will help with their teaching career.

The Iowa Association of School Boards recently awarded ADM Senior Jadah Manning a $2,000 Special Education Teacher Scholarship for her recognition of her academic achievements. According to a press release from the IASB, Manning has been apart of individual and large-group speech, academic decathlon, as well as being named the Fine Arts Student of the Month at ADM for the last three years. 

The organization adds that Manning is planning to attend Northwestern College in Orange City to study special education with a focus in elementary/early childhood education, which she hopes to teach at an elementary school in Iowa. The IASB states that the scholarship is given to a graduating senior who plans to study education, with an emphasis on special education.
