The Rams played the first half going into strong northerly winds Coach Behne estimated at 25 MPH. He told Raccoon Valley Radio the wind and a tiny playing field made the match a little interesting. “The boys played well considering the wind and field . It was a match filled with a lot of yellow cards- four for them and two for us. Overall, we passed well and played defense well.” Senior goalkee[er Gabe Ebersole had five saves including two the coach called “really nice ones with intense wind going on at the same time.”

The Rams fell to 0-11 in girls’ soccer while the Raiders improved to 7-6. The final was 2-0 with the Rams allowing their fewest goals of the season and the final margin was also the smallest of 2024. Sophomore goalkeeper Lucy Vander Linden had several saves and the offense had shots on goal, but weren’t able to convert those into points on the scoreboard.
