The Jefferson Public Library invites everyone to another Author Talk program, with two special guests.
On Thursday at 7pm, the library will host poet Abby Jacobson and author Tom Ganoe. Jacobson is a published poet, with two books, “Swallowed by Smoke” and “Petals of Unspoken Verses.” The Paton-Churdan High School graduate has written on several topics including bipolar disorder, anxiety, divorce, trauma, suicide and eating disorders. “Swallowed by Smoke” is a collection of poems about healing a broken heart, dealing with trauma, and allowing yourself the ability to grow as a person. “Petals of Unspoken Verses” are poems about the magic and struggles of parenting, mental health, and finding yourself.
Ganoe is an East Greene High School graduate and his book that was published this year and is titled “Late Night Thoughts” is a collection of his posts on Facebook of times when Ganoe couldn’t sleep. Ganoe’s hope is that as he navigates his journey it uplifts others.
The free program on Thursday is at the library and it is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
