The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.

The Board approved a fireworks permit for Rita Scheiring for July 6th and a payroll change notice for Branden Caldwell as a new hire as a conservation park ranger. They also discussed the 2023-24 budget amendment with Sheriff Marty Arganbright, focusing on different areas to try and help keep the department on budget until the end of June.

The Board then approved the 2024-25 library services contract, and discussed the strategic plan from Region XII Council of Governments, and set up some meetings to go over the topic more thoroughly on June 18th and 19th. They also discussed how they would like to move forward with discussions on getting a countywide emergency medical services service in place, including identifying a marketing firm to work with, having public meetings with the many communities in the county, and holding meetings with those entities that would most likely return bids on the request for proposal.
