The Jayettes season came to a close yesterday on the links.  Regional play sent Perry to Atlantic as they competed for a spot at the State competition.  The Jayettes finished in a tie for 7th place with Carroll.  Addison Huntington and Zoey Vail tied for a team low of 100 for Perry.  They tied for 27th in the individual portion of the event.  Gilbert won the Regional and are still alive to defend their crown as 3A champion.  The Tigers cruised to the victory by 49 strokes.  They had 6 of the 7 lowest scores at Nishna Hills.  Nevada also qualified for the State Meet at Pheasant Ridge in Cedar Rapids.  The Cubs finished in 2nd by 20 stokes ahead of Sergeant Bluff-Luton.  The Jayettes graduate 5 seniors will have to replace 5 “starters” for next season.
