One of the main topics that the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board approved at its meeting on Monday was moving forward with replacing the victory bell. 

The board approved a contract from Verdin in the amount of $43,965 towards a victory bell for the ADM School District. Other items on the agenda that were approved included curriculum purchases with Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) and English Language Arts (ELA), along with a Reading Reconsideration program as presented. 

The board also approved a budget amendment for the 2023-2024 school year, and set a public hearing for June 10th at 6pm to transfer property to the City of Minburn. They also approved the increases for the nutrition prices for the 2024-2025 school year as presented, an open enrollment resolution for 2024-2025, hiring an associate position at Adel Elementary, and the purchase of the teacher device refresh from Apple for $33,450 as presented.

After a closed session was held, the board reopened the meeting to approve a 4.93% total package increase for several staff positions, and approved a salary increase of 4.00% for the Administrative staff for the 2024-2025 except Executive Director of Teaching, Learning and Communications Travis Wilkins, whose title will change to Assistant Superintendent, along with an 8% increase.
