Perry Police Cheif Eric Vaughn spoke at Baxter's request

National Police Week is being celebrated May 12th-18th and the Perry Police Chief shares his gratitude for his officers.

Perry Police Chief Eric Vaughn is appreciative of the officers who put their lives on the line daily and honor the ones who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect their communities. Vaughn praises the community of Perry for offering tremendous support towards law enforcement, exemplifying how people have dropped off snacks and said words of encouragement to officers this week. Vaughn is proud to be apart of the community.

“It’s great to be recognized in that way for the appreciation in the job that we do, but also it kind of shows that we’re apart of that community and that’s why we’re here doing the job to help the community out, and support them and help keep everyone safe.”

Vaughn illustrates that the Perry community always displays great support to the officers and feels honored to serve.
