Very active weather is expected to happen throughout the day today, with several rounds of possible severe weather.

According to the National Weather Service Greene, Dallas and Guthrie Counties are at a moderate risk for severe weather, which is a four out of five scale of risk levels. The peak time of when severe weather is at its greatest risk is between 3 and 8pm. The coverage area is between 30-60 percent chance of having strong winds of 60-80 miles per hour, along with up to 60 percent chance of at least one inch in diameter hail or greater. 

The additional active weather has the National Weather Service issuing a flash flood watch through tonight. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Severe Weather Action Team will provide live coverage anytime there is a severe thunderstorm or tornado warning for Greene, Dallas and Guthrie Counties.
