School will soon be out, and with more kids outside playing, motorists need to be more attentive of potential issues. 

Iowa State Patrol Sergeant Alex Dinkla tells Raccoon Valley Radio that drivers should be cognizant of their surroundings, especially driving through neighborhoods as many kids often play in driveways close to the street. 

“There’s going to be kids running around the intersection, there’s going to be kids running out of their driveways or yards. Ball’s might be lost out of somebody’s yard as youngsters are playing.”

Dinkla illustrates that drivers should set themselves up for success to remember to constantly pay attention to the roadways at all times, not to become distracted.
