Friday, May 17th

7:11am: A caller reported two Stray Dogs running near Washington and Pinet Streets. The officer did not locate the reported animals.

8:45am: Patricia Martin spoke to an officer in connection to a Civil Issue with a cell phone.

1:00pm: Brooke Venteicher reported a possible Harassment occurring on Facebook. The officer advised they were posts, not sent directly to her and were not harassment.

4:23pm: Katlyn Ohrt reported a male subject video taping her as she went through the car wash at 208 West Lincoln Way Street. No crime had occurred.

5:07pm: An officer assisted with a court ordered property exchange at 606 West Washington Street.

6:09pm: Dollar General requested an officer at 104 North Locust Street for two juveniles in the business being very disrespectful. The pair had left the area before the officer arrived.

6:50pm: An officer assisted with a court ordered property exchange at 705 West Harrison Street.

7:17pm: An officer investigated a golf cart rollover accident at Washington and Wilson. A 2020 Club car golf cart, owned and operated by Ellen Bunkers of Jefferson, tipped over while navigating a turn onto Wilson Ave. Bunker and two juveniles went to ER for minor injuries. The officer reported $50.00 in damages to the cart.

7:42pm: An officer assisted a deputy at ER with an unruly subject there for a court committal.

9:40pm: An officer responded to a Panic Alarm Activation at 401 South Wilson Avenue. It was an accident and no assistance was needed.

Saturday, May 18th

4:39am: Jodi Ganoe reported her estranged husband had kicked in the door at 203 East Perry Street and assaulted her. Another subject in the residence had struck Ganoe with a ball bat, injuring him, before he left. The officers and a deputy made contact with Ganoe at 1618 Newberry Ave. and spoke with him. Dale Edward Ganoe, 46 of Jefferson was arrested for, “Domestic Assault Abuse 3rd or Subsequent – Class D Felony.”

7:45am: A caller advised of two Stray Dogs in the 1100 Block of South Elm Street. The animals were not located by the officer.

10:59am: Mary Koch reported two Stray Dogs running in the 100 Block of West Washington Street. The officer did not locate the reported animals.

12:41pm: Beverly Holloway reported a male going door to door at 1000 West Adams Street, looking for his wife. The officer later located the subject and reminded him of a recent No Contact Order preventing him from contact with his wife.

2:17pm: An officer went to 203 East Perry Street and arrested Jodi Ann Ganoe, 50 of Jefferson on an outstanding “Fail to Appear” Arrest Warrant. The original charges were, “Interference with Official Acts and Violation of No Contact Order.”

2:43pm: Tyler Rysavy spoke with an officer about a Civil Issue with a family member.

2:55pm: Jewlina Klein-Nelson reported her bank debit card had been removed from her unlocked vehicle overnight in the 600 Block of North Wilson Ave. The card had been used four times at local businesses before she had it turned off. The officer has video of the suspect and is investigating.

4:34pm: Kasy Jacobs reported locking herself out of her residence in the 300 Block of South High Street. The officer was able to gain entry without causing damages.

5:08pm: Webster County requested an officer to check a Jefferson residence for a juvenile runaway from their county. The subject was not located in Jefferson.

6:21pm: A caller complained about a loud party occurring in the 200 Block of South Cedar Street. The officer checked on the gathering, which was too loud.

Sunday, May 19th

12:30am: The Wild Rose casino requested an officer at 777 Wild Rose Lane for a Suspicious Patron. The subject checked into the Hotel and was no longer an issue.

8:55am: Sean Sebourn reported nearly striking a Stray Dog with his vehicle in the 200 Block of North Elm Street. The officer did not locate the dog.

9:15am: Jerry Hall reported locking himself out of his apartment in the 400 Block of Greenewood Road. The officer was able to gain entry into the apartment.

9:32am: Emma Halterman turned in $800.00 cash she had found in the parking lot at 106 West Washington Street. Later in the day, the owner of the cash claimed it and it was returned.

9:58am: Duane Holman reported hearing a single gunshot near the 200 Block of North Elm Street. The officer spoke to others outside in the area, but no one had heard the sound.

11:13am: An officer investigated an accident at Elm and Harrison Streets. A 2006 Chrysler 300, owned by Jacob Mere and operated by Caleb Byerly of Jefferson, was southbound in the inside lane of Elm. A passenger car, owned by Hertz Rental and operated by Scott Clark of LA, left the posted stop sign on Harrison Street, in the path of the Byerly vehicle. Clark struck the side of the Byerly vehicle, flipping it on it&39;s top. Clark and a passenger in the Byerly vehicle were taken to ER for injuries. Clark was cited for, “Fail to Obey Stop Sign.”

5:30pm: Beverly Rosenow reported a fire at the base of a tree in Washington Park. She reported three juveniles left on bikes after lighting the fire. The officer located the three attempting to hide in a nearby shed and spoke to them. Parents were contacted and advised the officer is planning to send Juvenile charges to the court for, “Reckless Use of Fire.”

6:05pm: Jean Miners reported a neighbor’s child riding a bicycle through her yard at 307 mNorth Chestnut Street. The officer spoke to the child’s parents about the issue.

7:44pm: Linda Lazo reported an Abandoned Bicycle at 302 North Oak Street. The officer placed the bike in Impound.

8:17pm: Maria Bartley reported four juveniles in a vehicle trying to pick a fight with her brother in the 900 Block of West State Street. The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver about the incident. All parties were advised to end contact with the other.
