
Talk about staying busy. Recent Greene County High School graduate Nathan Behne signed a National Letter of Intent on Monday morning at the high school in Jefferson to attend Upper Iowa University in Fayette and join the football team as a kicker. He ran on the Rams’ 4 x 100 meter relay on Friday at the State Coed Track & Field Meet at Drake Stadium, then had his graduation reception Saturday, Commencement was Sunday, the signing was Monday morning, and he played soccer for the Rams in a Class 2A Substate semifinal at Humboldt Monday night. He was a five sport athlete for the Rams as a senior, playing football, basketball, golf, soccer, and track & field. Behne was also the Bernie Saggau Award recipient, an Iowa Governor’s Scholar, Class Valedictorian, plus being a Shrine Bowl Football selection as the kicker for the South team.
Nathan, his parents Carl & Allison Behne, other family members, classmates, athletes, and community members attended the signing ceremony.
