
The Stuart Public Library will be hosting a program through the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
On May 31st the library will hold a program called “On Their Own and Ok” from 9am to 2pm. The course covers building skills and incorporating ways in the home to support independence for youths. Children will learn how to express how they feel being home alone, create healthy meals and snacks along with a daily routine that follows home rules and practice what to do in emergency situations. They will also learn how to identify appropriate leisure activities, safety guidelines at home and online safety and privacy guidelines.
