A very important program at Perry Lutheran Homes shows how vital human connection is.

According to Mollie Clark, Perry Lutheran Homes’ Director of Marketing, the Meals on Wheels program helps deliver about 20,000 meals per year to Dallas County residents. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio that 10% of seniors in Dallas County suffer from food insecurity. Clark explains the experience that Perry Lutheran Home volunteers have with this program.

“We always say it’s more than just a meal. That delivery driver is a lifeline, and we got so many stories of how much our drivers mean to them.”

The communities that the Meals on Wheels program directly affects are Perry, Minburn, Dallas Center, Granger and Woodward.
