The Bluejays will be making a return appearance to the State Tournament in Des Moines.  Perry knocked off Humboldt last night in the Substate 7 2A Championship game.  The Bluejays led at half, 2-0.  Sergio Sanchez found the back of the net in the 4th minute and Cerna-Gomez would score on a corner in the 9th minute.  Banuelos would join the scoring party with one in the 45th minute.  Humboldt’s Ramirez would score on a PK in the 48th minute.  Cerna-Gomes had his second goal of the game in the 52nd minute.  They would ultimately win the game, 4-1.

The Bluejays now have 11 wins.  They will play on Wednesday, May 29th at Cownie Soccer Park in Des Moines.  They’ve been given the 6 seed and will take on the 3 seeded Decorah, who is 14-3.  Match is set to start at 1:20 at Field 7.  KDLS will broadcast the contest.
