The Panorama School Board approved a contract with Life Connections during the May meeting.
Panorama Superintendent Kasey Huebner says the contract expands current counseling services provided to the students of Panorama. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio that thanks to two administrative members, the contract was made even better.
“Angie Clouser and Liz Ratcliffe here, they were really wanting more services for our students, and so they got to work and got on the phone and started asking around, and they were able to get this Life Connections contract. It was worth $22,000, and it’s going to be no cost to the district because of the work that those two did.”
Huebner mentions that this gives students the required or desired counseling they would like, and expands the current services the district has with Life Connections. He adds that this means that instead of only having counselors on hand two days of the week, they will be on site four days a week, with the fifth day being flexible incase students need those mental health services.
