The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Track & Field team capped off a remarkable year with the first championship in the school’s history.
ADM’s Girls Track & Field team was named the Class 3A Champs after scoring 48 points at the state track meet earlier this month. Junior London Warmuth, who high jumps, tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she knew that the Tigers won immediately following the 4×400 meter relay. She comments that it’s been an honor to be apart of a wonderful team this year. Warmuth credits her coaches for helping improve the mental hurdle over the years.
“Everything has to be even just for you to compete well. I would say definitely confidence and the mental growth from freshman year. I did do very well freshman year with 5’6″ breaking the school record during state but my growth throughout these three years are definitely strength, mental, as well as just skills.”
Individually, Warmuth won the high jump this year with a height of 5’8″ on her way to her second consecutive individual title. Warmuth is also apart of ADM’s Volleyball team and hints that she might return to the hardwood to play basketball during her senior season.
