
A student from Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School was given a proficiency award.
ADM’s Milsa Gutierrez was recently awarded the Iowa Seal of Biliteracy, which recognizes students who have attained proficiency in two or more languages. According to a press release, the seal of biliteracy serves as recognition for attainment of multilingual skills, provides evidence of skills important to future employers and higher education, plus demonstrates a readiness of students to be college, career, and community contributors in the local, national, and global societies. Gutierrez displayed her proficiency in English and Spanish.
