Fresh produce will be apart of the annual farmer’s market happening in Perry, beginning next week.
The Perry Chamber’s Farmer’s Market will begin this coming Thursday in the downtown area on Second Street between Willis Avenue and Warford Street from 4-7pm. Perry Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti mentions that there will be monthly themed events. She highlights that the initial farmer’s market on Thursday will feature Techie Chef and Kountry Boys Homemade Ice Cream as the two food trucks plus live music. Pasutti reveals the plans for June 20th’s farmer’s market.
“We’ll have Public Safety Night, which is always a favorite for the kiddos to be able to sit up in the firetruck, and peek in the back door of the ambulance, and get a sticker from the police department. It’s fun things like that we really look forward to at the farmer’s market.”
Pasutti describes that Iowa PBS Kids will visit the farmer’s market twice per month on the second and fourth Thursdays to help engage children with early literacy. She welcomes any additional vendors to join and to contact the Perry Chamber if interested, at (515)-465-4601.
