The Panora City Council met in regular session May 28th.

The Council heard from Jim Wendl and Pat Moylan on concerns on the city’s current ordinance regarding the use of Utility Terrain Vehicles (UTV) on residential streets, as they would like to see the language expanded to include all residential streets and not just a certain route through town. Mayor Curtis Thornberry and the Council agreed to discuss the topic in the next meeting.

The Council then approved a liquor license for Casey’s General Store, the fiscal year 2023-24 budget amendment after a public hearing where no comments were made, then recognized Public Works Superintendent Tony Monthei for 36 years of service to the city as he prepares to retire.
