The West Central Valley Wildcat softball team faced off against the Pleasantville Trojans in varsity softball action on Thursday resulting in double header action. The Wildcats would split the contest with the Trojans, managed to steal game one from the Trojans but fell to the Trojans in the second game. The first contest was an emotional rollercoaster, as the Trojans scored 3 runs in the top of the first. The Wildcats responded, notching in 2 runs of their own in the first, then would continue to respond notching in 4 more runs in the bottom of the second and 1 more in the third. With the score at 7-3 going into the fourth, the Trojans notched in 5 runs in the fourth and 2 more in the fifth. In tremendous fashion, with the score at 10-7 in the Trojans favor, the Wildcats would score 4 runs in the sixth managing to sneak a victory over the Trojans, 11-10.
The Wildcats are in tournament action today as they host three schools in softball action.
