The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team suffered their fourth loss of the season against top-ranked Van Meter Friday night.

The Tigers were on the road to take on the Bulldogs and grabbed the 1-0 lead after the second inning. However, in the third inning, Van Meter racked 12 runs across the board and added an extra one in the bottom of the fourth to push the lead to 13-1. ADM’s Senior Cameran Smith had one hit with Junior Kennedy Stanford did have an RBI. Smith was on the mound playing two innings and striking out three batters.

Bulldogs Senior Maddie Waldorf had three hits, two runs, five RBI’s and a homerun. Waldorf also pitched one inning, getting two strikeouts. The win for Van Meter helps improve them to 9-1 overall, while ADM falls to 5-4.

The Tiger’s next game will be tomorrow as they host Raccoon River Conference opponent Bondurant-Farrar in Adel with first pitch at 7:15pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF.
