
A Jefferson woman was injured in a two vehicle crash in Marion County over the weekend.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, at 9:30pm on Saturday, June 1st, 19-year-old Levi Wagler of Albia was traveling south on Iowa Highway 5 when his truck crossed the centerline near the intersection of County Road G-62 and hit head-on with a northbound GMC Yukon that was driven by 39-year-old Kelly Bouchard of Jefferson.
The State Patrol crash report states that both drivers suffered serious injuries as Wagler was taken to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics by Knoxville EMS and Bouchard was also taken to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics by MercyOne Ambulance. The report also shows that Bouchard was wearing her seatbelt and Wagler was not wearing his at the time of the crash.
The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
