The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.

During reports, County Attorney Thomas Laehn said that Court Administration recommended that all counties review their security policies and measures on an annual basis. So Laehn suggested that the county courthouse security committee do that annually.

County Engineer Wade Weiss reported that the Grimmell Road bridge, south of Jefferson, is still on schedule for bid letting in July. He also mentioned that the handicapped accessible button has been installed for the main entrance to the Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower.

The Board then approved a subcontract for the Private Well Grant between Greene County Environmental Health and the County Board of Health as presented.

Additionally, Jefferson resident Bryan Helmus spoke in favor of the Barbie event that is taking place downtown for the month of June.

Finally, County Auditor Billie Jo Hoskins asked the Board about redoing some of the landscaping around the courthouse. She said that some of the bushes and plant life were dying or being overrun. The Board suggested talking with some volunteer professionals about ideas that they might have.
