An organization in Adel will be hosting fun summer events every Wednesday during the summer.
Country Lane Lodge will be having a variety of food trucks and live music for free every Wednesday now through August 28th. The organization will provide new food trucks, desserts, and a different musical artist or band each week. Store Manager Kendra Kasichke tells Raccoon Valley Radio that this is the second year the event is taking place and admits it was her idea to provide great summer fun for residents, while bringing awareness to the lodge.
“We just wanted to bring better awareness to people in Dallas County that we’re here. We stay very busy but there’s still a lot of people that don’t know we’re here, so we decided to have a little bit of fun in the summer.”
Kasichke explains that different points during the summer can be busier times than others depending on the weather and which food truck is present during the week. The event will run from 5-8pm every Wednesday. Tonight’s food truck will be “Hot Off the Presses” along with Emma Butterworth as the musical entertainment. A full list of the food trucks that will be in attendance in each is available below.
