A local organization in Perry recently was awarded a grant to benefit a program that helps seniors.

Perry Lutheran Homes received a grant totaling $1,000 from Minburn Communications and Aureon, who donated $500 each. According to a press release, the grant will help purchase food supplies from Martin Brothers, allowing Perry Lutheran Homes to continue providing nutritious meals to their participants with Meals on Wheels. 

The Meals on Wheels program offers care for older adults who need assistance by preparing and delivering meals to those individuals. The program delivers to residents in Perry, Minburn, Dallas Center, Granger, and Woodward throughout the year.
