A candidate from the June Primaries speaks out following his win on the Republican side for the Dallas County Attorney position.
Republican Matt Schultz defeated his counterpart Ronald Carl Forsell for the June Primaries Tuesday night. Schultz tells Raccoon Valley Radio that he was relieved when he found out he won against Forsell but admits he was worried about low voter turnout. Schultz thanks his family for sticking by his side but wants to extend gratitude to the people that went above and beyond.
“A lot of people knocked (on) doors, made phone calls, put up signs, just grateful for all the support that we received, and it was a good night, and I think it was because of the team, because of everybody that put in the work to help.”
Schultz will now face Democrat challenger Meggan Guns in the November Election for the seat of the Dallas County Attorney and says he will continue to push his message out about why he’s the best candidate for the position.
