The American Red Cross will be holding a resource center at Nodaway Valley Elementary in Greenfield over the weekend starting today.

The resource center opening is in response to the tornado that went through Greenfield on May 21st. The Red Cross continues to help families and communities recover after that tornado, with workers at the school to provide individual assistance for those that have been displaced. Individuals and families impacted by the tornado can speak with volunteer health workers regarding physical, mental and spiritual health concerns. Cleaning supplies are also available at no cost, including plastic tubs, rakes, gloves and large trash bags. Everyone is welcome to visit the resource center, even if it’s only for snacks, a meal or friendly conversation. The Red Cross Resource Center will be open from 11am to 7pm today, and 10am to 6pm tomorrow and Sunday.
