Perry came into this game 1-5 in the last six games and looked to change their fate but Saydel had other ideas. Geren Kenney started off this game pitching well and getting grounders but the only problem was that the Bluejays had a hard time fielding them. 3 errors in the first inning by everybody except their second basemen helped 6 runs to come across for the Eagles. Kenney couldn’t escape the inning and Belgarde came in to finish the first.
Three strikeouts for Brady Hicks set the Bluejays down in a row after a leadoff walk and the Eagles got to work again. A leadoff walk was followed by an RBI double by Jace Embry making the score 7-0. Then five consecutive baserunners ballooned the lead even more. It was 9-0 after the end of the second. Juan Diego Beato-Amparo got the first hit for the Bluejays followed by another by Reid Iben. Unfortunately for the Bluejays that was the last time they got a runner in scoring position.
The Eagles then put the final nail in the coffin scoring a plethora of runs making the score 15-0. Both teams went to their benches and some freshmen got some at-bats and playing time. Brady Hicks went 4 innings and struck out seven Perry hitters only allowing 5 total baserunners.
The Bluejays will host West Central Valley on Friday night, first pitch scheduled for 7:30 pm.
