The City of Perry is continuing to work away on many projects, and administrator Sven Peterson highlights the plan for the Frog Creek Restoration project.
Peterson tells Raccoon Valley Radio that the project is happening along the north park road bridge at Pattee Park, in Perry. He says the focus is on stormwater qualities by attempting to reduce erosion and streambanks in order to make them more manageable. Peterson illustrates that this will add features for residents as well.
“So we have a creek crossing or two in there that people can more easily get down and hoping to create an environment where kids or adults can get back in the creek, experience that feature that we have in Pattee Park.”
In the future, Peterson wants to include educational signage regarding the work that has been done and the purpose behind the creek corridor in the environment.
