The Dallas County Conservation Board is bringing in the summer with a special event in Redfield.

The conservation board will have their Summer Solstice Sunset Celebration tonight at Hanging Rock Park, 416 Redfield Street, in Redfield. According to the organization, the public is encouraged to join conservation naturalists at the astronomical clock on top of the ridge at Hanging Rock to observe the solstice. 

The conservation board details that the meaning of the word solstice is the act to stand still. The celebration will take place tonight from 8-9pm and everyone is welcome to attend.
