Uncommon, but not unheard of, is a Greene County High School baseball team being weathered out two nights in a row. That’s the case for Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams after wet conditions on the baseball field in State Center prompted the postponement of Heart of Iowa Activities Conference play vs. West Marshall. The Rams were rained out on Tuesday night in Manson vs. Manson-Northwest Webster.

The Rams and WM are scheduled to make up Wednesday’s nights’ postponement on Thursday, June 27, assuming officials can be contracted.

Greene County should be well rested for their next contest, which is set for Friday night at Carroll Stadium vs. the Carroll High Tigers. The Rams have gotten just one game in this week and the Monday loss at Nevada is the only time the Rams have played since June 12. Friday’s game vs. the Tigers is set for 7 p.m. and can be heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
