The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team raced to their 12th win of the season against conference opponent Ballard behind amazing pitching from Grant Rychnovsky.

The Tigers honored Senior Rhylan Stine-Smith prior to the game on Thursday. The Tigers beat the Bombers 4-0 in Adel as they avenged their earlier loss on May 30th. ADM scored two runs in the second innings, one in the fourth, and one in the fifth. The Tigers who scored were Cole Waddingham (courtesy ran for Rychnovsky), Ethan Uglum (courtesy ran for Jaxson Book), Reed Ausdemore, and Alex Jensen. Rychnovsky finished doing 2-3 and Hudson Lewerke went 2-3 with two RBIs. Stine-Smith says that over his four years playing for the Tigers, he’s done his best to coach the younger players.

“It’s been really good to see these young guys’ process and being the oldest guy now, I got to be able to coach them up and help them out as much as I can.”

Losing pitcher was Ballard’s Eli Rouse who pitched four innings, allowed three hits, three runs, walked one batter, and struck out four. The Bombers’ Nic Schonhorst pitched two innings, allowed three hits, one run, and had one strikeout. ADM’s Grant Rychnovsky was the winning pitcher going all seven innings, allowed one hit, walked one batter, and struck out eight.

The Tigers now improve to 12-10 overall (7-4 inside the Raccoon River Conference) and will be off until Monday when they are at Bondurant-Farrar.
