
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball team blanked Knoxville Friday night in Adel to earn their 19th win of the season.
The Tigers defeated the Panthers 11-0 on Friday in six innings as they got great contributions offensively and stellar pitching. ADM scored one in the bottom of the second inning, three in the third inning, and drove seven across in the sixth inning to end the game. Junior Madi James blasted a three-run home run to end the game for ADM. The Tigers who scored included James with two and finished 2-4, Kaylee Smith was 3-4 and had two, Ellis Smith captured two, and Elliote Von Roden with two. Olivia Wyant, Aniston Tollari, and Alexis Maxwell all added one run a piece.
Losing pitcher was Knoxville’s Ciara Heffron who went six innings, allowed 10 hits, 11 runs, walked three batters, and struck out five. On ADM’s side, Cameran Smith started the first three innings, and allowed two hits, two walks, and completed one strikeout. Lauren Hagedorn pitched three innings, allowed two hits, and struck out six.
The win improves ADM to 19-8 overall as they’ve won the last three. The Tigers will be off for the weekend before traveling to Bondurant-Farrar on Monday for a conference game with the Bluejays at 7:15pm.
