The Bluejays used a pair of two-run innings to take down the Wildcats from West Central Valley. Perry grabbed the 5-0 win thanks to a masterful pitching performance from Owen Myers. The junior struck out 7 in the complete game shutout. The offense took the lead in the second with a two run inning. They added some insurance with a two run third. The final run would cross the plate in the fifth for the 5-0 win. Myers also helped himself in the batter’s box. He went two for three with a double. Levan scored two of the five Perry runs. The one concern in the game is the Bluejays offense only had 5 hits compared to WCV 7.
The Bluejays return to action Monday for a match up with the top team in the Heart of Iowa Conference, West Marshall. Perry will arrive in State Center with an 8-13 record. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30P
