A statewide organization recently made a donation, and the receiving non-profit group has also supported a family member of a Greene County resident.

The Iowa County Recorders Association (ICRA) recently held its annual continuing education classes and the group decided to support the Pink Tractor Foundation as its focus for philanthropy efforts. According to the ICRA, members of their organization are supported through the Pink Tractor Foundation of those individuals facing cancer in recent years.

Greene County Recorder Deb McDonald says one of the individuals who have received a donation from the Pink Tractor Foundation is a family member with the Greene County Deputy Recorder Maralie Ruth.

All ICRA members were invited during the summer conference to make contributions to the Pink Tractor Foundation either by purchasing ICRA and PTF pink shirts, or through monetary donations and bidding on Iowa State University and the University of Iowa items with a silent auction. ICRA made a $1,500 donation to the Pink Tractor Foundation.
