The Jefferson Matters Golf Fundraiser happened last week and organizers are calling it the best year ever.

Co-chair Jill Morton tells Raccoon Valley Radio the event grossed $13,000 and included 22, four-person teams at the Jefferson Community Golf Course and says this was by far their best year they’ve had since taking over putting the golf tournament together. Jefferson Matters Executive Director Matt Wetrich expresses his gratitude to everyone who supported the golf outing, from the participants to sponsors, and the organizing committee.

“Shoutout to our committee that worked on that (and are) really led by Jill Morton and Jackie Cunningham, they were kind of co-chairs. That great team overall does a lot of work for several months leading up to the golf tournament. So that’s what it takes, it takes people who are passionate and dedicated to these things and those folks really are. And the event runs really smooth with that many crazy golfers out there having fun.”

The organizing committee includes Ross Martens, Aubrey and Michael Rossmanith and Troy Ticknor.

The overall winners was the foursome with Martens @ Associates, including Michael Rossmanith, Ross Martens, Chris Anderson and Collin Tjepkes. The defending champion from last year, Mouth Remodel, came in second place this year and that foursome included Brett Abbotts, Keith Van Beek, Chris Nelson and John Hupp. The winner of a new electric bicycle was Ashlee Harmeyer.
