The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team returns to the field in Adel tonight to battle the top seed in the Raccoon River Conference, North Polk, with a broadcast on Raccoon Valley Radio.

The Tigers have shown a lot of growth through the 2024 season, with Head Coach Jason Book seeing the team developing consistency. He comments that defensively ADM is coming together as they near the playoffs, but still acknowledges areas of improvement.

“Maybe be a little more mentally prepared for the game and pitch by pitch, expecting the ball, wanting the ball, knowing what you’re going to do with the ball just to clean up some of those mistakes that we’ve been making.”

The Tigers last played on Monday, defeating Gilbert 5-4 after trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh as they improve to 13-13 overall (8-7 RRC). ADM is hosting North Polk, who leads the RRC at 13-2 and beat ADM 6-0 on May 29th. First pitch tonight is set for 7pm, and the broadcast will be on K107.9 KKRF, starting at 6:45pm.
