The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team garnered their 14th win, with a big conference victory versus North Polk on Wednesday.

The Tigers were shutout by the Comets in their previous two matchups, but defeated North Polk 7-0 last night in Adel. ADM scored one run in the first inning, two in the second, two in the third, and two in the fourth as they held the Comets scoreless for only the second time this season. Rhylan Stine-Smith finished 1-3 with a two-run RBI Triple, with Grant Rychnovsky going 1-3 with an RBI Double.

Seven different Tigers scored with Stine-Smith, Rychnovsky, Cade Fisher, Jaxson Book, Hudson Lewerke, Leyton Gerleman, and Cole Waddingham. North Polk used three pitchers with Brady Scholten who started the game and finished with one inning pitched, allowed two hits, three runs, and walked two batters. Jack Spieker pitched one inning, allowed three hits, four runs, and walked two, while Caiden Gass finished with four innings pitched, allowed one hit and struck out two. Winning pitcher was ADM’s Reed Ausdemore, who pitched seven innings, allowed four runs, walked two batters, and struck out three.

The Tigers improve to 14-13 overall (9-7 Raccoon River Conference), while the Comets fall to 20-6 overall (13-3 RRC). Up next for ADM is a non-conference game on the road on Monday at Creston, starting at 7:30pm.
