The Dallas County Hospital is taking a moment to honor one of their employees for their military service.

According to the hospital, Chandra Hundley started basic training in South Carolina and Army in Training in Texas in 2009. The following year, she was deployed as a combat medic to Afghanistan with the 133rd infantry unit (Red Bull). 

Hundley also served with the 294th medical company as an Ambulance Platoon Sergeant and was commissioned as an officer last year, in 2023. She currently drills at Camp Dodge with the Medical Detachment Company and has been working as a surgery nurse for DCH for the past 10 years.
