The Stuart Public Library is excited for this month’s lunch and learn program.

Library Director Lisa Sherman says that they will be having author Catherine Van Hove as their guest, as she discusses her book “I’m Packin’ Insulin: A Journey of Living Fearlessly with Type 1 Diabetes.” Sherman shares some background on Van Hove.

“Catherine has spent her life as a fierce supporter of others with Type 1 diabetes. Her passion is to advocate, and it has taken her to Washington DC to lobby for diabetes funding, and she has been a team member of research projects through the Mayo Research Clinic.”

Sherman mentions that Van Hove’s family is from Dexter, and they reached out to the library about having an event with her. Sherman adds that the presentation will be on July 17th from 11am to 12:30pm, and asks those interested in attending the free event to let the library know, so that they can order enough lunch for everyone.
