2023 Greene County High School graduate Kale Petersen is rehabbing following early February knee surgery. The U. of Iowa Hawkeye wrestler talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about when he thinks he may be able to get back on the mat. “I get fitted for my knee brace on July 8, then it takes two to three weeks to get here. I’ll still have a couple of weeks of rehab to finish up after that. Once I get back on the mat, I’ll probably ease into it and then hopefully be able to ramp up.”

Petersen is listed at 133 or 141 lbs. for the Hawkeyes, and if healthy, could challenge for a spot in the starting lineup.
