The Community Players of Greene County invites the public to perform in its upcoming show.

Director Josh Tuel says the 2nd Annual Community Players Radio Show is planned for August. He explains that the characters will be reading from scripts to mimic what old-fashioned radio programs would have sounded like. He points out there is no memorization required and limited rehearsal time. A few of the selections for this year’s production includes. “Fibber McGee and Molly,” “The Bickerson’s,” and “Abbott and Costello’s Who’s on First.”

Tuel says there are two informational meetings scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday at 6:30pm at the Masonic Lodge on the west side of the downtown square in Jefferson. Participants will learn about the upcoming production and can read from the scripts of the selections to determine the roles. If people are interested but can make it to the informational meetings, you can contact Tuel at 515-370-0919.
