Jefferson area parents with very young children are encouraged to register for a class to enjoy a summer outdoor activity.

The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Baby Bubblers class for six month to three year olds next week, Monday through Friday from 5:30-6pm at the Jefferson Municipal Pool. JPRD Assistant Director Nathan Kral says this class will cover pool safety, introduce the young ones to the pool and basic water play. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio this program was a huge success last year.

“Last year again, we had great numbers. We had offered two Baby Bubblers classes, our first one filled up and our second one was right up there as well. So we’ve had great participation. Samantha Schmidt is the instructor for that class and she does a wonderful job.”

The cost to participate is $15 and there is a maximum of 15 children/adult pairs allowed for the class. Call the Greene County Community Center at 515-386-3412, online by clicking the link below or stopping by to sign up. There is an additional week of Baby Bubblers for August 12th-16th.
