A fundraiser was held in Jefferson last week, with proceeds going to a worthy cause.

Greene County Pony Express Riders of Iowa Chair Petra Dawson says their Boot Drive took place at the intersection of East Lincoln Way and Chestnut Street, next to the Thomas Jefferson Gardens of Greene County. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio they brought in $1,075 that will benefit the individuals with disabilities at the Easter Seals Camp.

Dawson points out that a raffle fundraiser is still going on. The prize is a Tennessee Walking Gelding gift card that is valued for $950. Raffle tickets are $1 each and the drawing will take place on August 17th at the Iowa State Fair. The winner doesn’t need to be present and tickets can be purchased from Dawson. She encourages anyone who would like more information about the Greene County Pony Express Riders to contact her on their Facebook page, with the link below.
