With fall sports on the horizon at West Central Valley, Wildcat cross country runners have also been using the summer to prepare for the upcoming season. In addition to the morning training sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays focused on speed, agility, and weight training the cross country runners use their mornings to run together to get back into cross country shape. When asked what the summer workouts look like at West Central Valley, activities director Jim Lindsay commented on how the cross country team is taking advantage of their summer vacation time. While mentioning how juggling ones schedule can be difficult when softball and baseball were in season, Lindsay mentioned that now, “cross country has their run club in the morning” as they anxiously await the beginning of the season.
