Perry wrestlers have been hitting it hard this summer by training and attending camps. A lot of the guys are taking advantage of the ETS program according to Coach Dardanes. “We got a weight program within the high school that’s really solid the new football coach for Perry is actually running those workouts.” Dardanes added. “For wrestler it’s usually getting bigger and stronger in the summer kind of enjoy yourself a little bit more, but the training definitely doesn’t stop.” Competitions are still a long ways away for the Perry wrestling team, but the guys are putting in the work during the offseason. The Bluejays had two guys qualify for the State Tournament last year. Keegan Snyder took 8th and Kain Killmer finished in 5th in their respected weight classes. Both guys have since graduated and Perry has a new crop of hopeful state qualifiers.
