The Brenton Arboretum in Dallas Center is inviting the public to an inaugural event coming up on Friday.
The arboretum is collaborating with the Blank Park Zoo to celebrate pollinators as well as conservation and the outdoor world to bring Pollinator Palooza. Arboretum Executive Director Melissa Burdick gives a glimpse of the details Friday’s program entails.
“The zoo is going to be here with some demonstrations and information, and we’re going to have honey producers. We have a seed company that’s going to be doing a little bit of a seed and plant sale. Iowa State University is going to have their conservation station here at the arboretum, and even Iowa PBS is going to be here with their outreach programs and activities.”
The event is taking place this coming Friday from 12-3pm at the Brenton Arboretum, 25141 260th Street, in Dallas Center. Burdick mentions that all the programs are free to attend and are available to all ages.
